What documents are required for proof of residence?

Proof of residential address can be provided using one of the following documents:

• Permanent residence card or residence permit.
• Documents certifying the existence of a residence (owned or rented) in the country of residence.

For the purpose of determining tax residency, please send us any of the documents you hold from the list below:

• Questionnaire for determining the tax residency of an individual (upon departure from Romania / upon arrival in Romania).
• Tax Registration Certificate (CIF).
• Tax Residency Certificate (TRC), issued by the competent authority of the foreign state with which Romania has concluded a double taxation avoidance agreement.
• Notification issued by the Romanian tax authority certifying the fulfillment of residency conditions according to the Fiscal Code or the Double Taxation Avoidance Convention – stating that the individual is maintained in or removed from ANAF records.
