Since this is a remote contract, where your identity must be validated through methods other than face-to-face verification, legislation requires financial institutions to carry out specific Know Your Customer (KYC) measures—such as requesting additional documents to validate your address and your bank account. For a smooth and fast process, it helps to have the following at hand: access to a computer/laptop/mobile phone with a camera; a valid email address; your identity document (ID card for Romanian citizens; if you want to open an account using a passport, you can find more information here), a bank statement no older than 3 months, where we can identify your full name and the IBAN of the account you declare in relation to Investimental. Depending on your personal profile, you may also need to provide a document (no older than 6 months) where we can identify your residential address. Throughout the account opening process, we also tried to briefly explain some of the data and information we request, so we encourage you to read our messages wherever you see the (i) sign. We thought it would be more efficient to show these along the way rather than overwhelm you now with too many details. You can start the account opening process on a computer/laptop and then continue on your mobile phone—especially if the phone camera is better than the one on your computer/laptop. Your progress will be saved, so switching devices or taking a short break won’t affect your journey up to that point. After you complete the account opening process, you will have access to the Portal. Until we finish our internal checks to validate the opening of your trading account, we invite you to familiarize yourself with the section dedicated exclusively to you in the Portal. As soon as we complete the checks and internally validate the data and information you provided, you will receive by email all contractual documents and confirmation of your trading account activation.
